Yoga weekend

Day one of Foundations Workshop down, two to go. I’m enjoying having an excuse to be in my yoga clothes all day ;) Comfy.

I’m working with the dogs to get them to sleep later. So far, they are not that interested in this.

I saw this on Ellen the other day… Reminded me of where my mind goes in yoga when we’re supposed to be meditating.

Oh, my

Look at this pretty baby! My cousins’ daughter, Claire. Thanks for sharing those pics, you guys. My relatives make such lovely children.

In other “oh, my” news — Oh, My… I’m about to spend 8 hours in yoga. Yes. EIGHT hours this weekend. We will be attending a “foundations workshop” at our yoga studio on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The idea is to work on the poses and fine tune them — make sure you’re doing them right. A good thing, really, since you can either get really sore, really tired, or injured if you’re not doing them right.

I am off to pick up a healthy dinner to make, and some granola bars, etc., to get us through the weekend.

The puppies have been very good for TWO days in a row. Oh, my!

Really real estate

Hopefully I haven’t lost all my readers in my lack of updates. I’ve been trying to keep my life interesting so that I have stuff to talk about ;)

I have been very busy in my little real estate world. (Please know that my real estate world is very small, as my expertise is very limited.)

But my Realtor friend and I are working on a lot of stuff for her website, and have also worked on a quick flyer for an event AND she’s selling/sold a couple friend and family homes right now, too!

So I’ve been spending time writing and researching. (I’m still a little slow at understanding things like tax credits, mortgage insurance, etc…) But it’s been fun learning something new.

I was reminded today of a very old clip from Ellen (early last year, I think.) I could only find this REALLY CRAPPY video, but this is her short-lived “Real Realtors” segment. Hilarious! (My friend Amy’s picture is nothing like these.)

Saturday, Sunday, Monday

It must be the economy. Everything’s slowing down… I have been noticing less updates on everyone’s blogs and yet here I am updating less as well! Sorry…

We had a nice, albeit, kinda sicky, weekend. We are fine, but have these nagging colds. That has made it impossible to go to yoga (you know, breathing) and has made eating simply a necessity instead of an enjoyment. But we’re both pretty much better. Mike’s off to his yoga class now and I’m skipping one more night. I should be back at it on Wednesday.

Saturday night we had Mike’s company’s post-holiday party. It was held at the Museum of Flight out near Boeing and the airport. What a fun evening! It was nice to have a party at a place like that. Mike didn’t really know anyone there (his group is really small, but the company is huge…) so we just spent a couple hours going through the museum and each enjoyed a complimentary beverage.

The museum was fun — it brought back lots of memories from Snoopy (and Ace for you Playhouse folk)… Okay, so I don’t have a lot of background in flight, but the memories I do have are meaningful. (The plane pictured was the same kind Snoopy flew… The Red Baron info was nearby.)

Sunday Mike fetched DONUTS from Top Pot, a famous local variety. As good as Schmidts! And that is rare. They are very good. You can (sort of) try them at your local Starbucks, although it’s not the same.

Sunday we both finished The Story of Edgar Sawtelle, which was AMAZING. Then we “watched” the Super Bowl (I mostly ignored it) and its crappy commercials AND the awesome 1 hour episode of the Office. After that (since it was only 7:30 at the time…) we watched the webcast of David Wroblewski on Oprah talking about the book. Very interesting. Great book. Epic and Shakespearean.

Today I’m still just “bleh,” but I managed to get a couple things done. And now you are all up to speed.
