Dear Amelia…

Author: admin

This is Amelia Louise, daughter of dear friend Pauline, and we have been waiting for you for a very very very long time! I’m so glad you are here and I know your Mom and Dad are very very very VERY happy to have you here at last! Congrats, you guys!!!

This baby thing is really going around! (It’s not working on me, I am immune to the contagion, hehe :) )

Any other cute babies out there right now that you want me to put on my blog, well, just send me a pic!

Oh, the cuteness…

Author: admin

Okay, as annoying as my dogs are sometimes, they are so freaking cute. Seriously. It’s not even fair. I usually say that an Airedale’s cuteness is a survival mechanism… you know, so you don’t kill them when they are barking at you or jumping on your counter or tugging at your comforter with their teeth…

I try to take pictures of the dogs every time they do something cute, but I don’t always have a reason to post them…. This is Ruby just today, “helping” me on the computer. (I was eating a snack which I did not share with her, and eventually she gave up.)

Here are a variety of others from the past few days and before…

It’s not really Wednesday for me yet… it’s 2:26 a.m. Can’t sleep, thought I might as well blog. Just finished buying a couple of clearance pillow covers on Pottery Barn. Anyone need new Christmas stockings? They have them for around eight dollars.

My dad said he took an iWeb class, and that he recognized my blog theme right away. I’ve been found out! So just incase you were wondering, Apple designed this website which is why it looks so cool. I only showed the good taste of picking it. Good luck in iWeb class, Dad. I think you’ll pick it up just fine.

This is Miss Matilda yesterday while I was trying to get some work done. She decided the end of my seat would be a great place for a nap. Thanks, Til. Amy B. pointed out that all I needed was the fireplace on, and it would be perfect.

Today I did some shopping – dangerous. I was unintentionally lured in by the lululemon store, which has the most amazing and yet expensive yoga clothes. But I have tried a couple other tops (North Face – comfy but worn-out after a year) and bottoms (Target, not even close), and nothing compares to this stuff after all the sweating and stretching and washing. I want to be able to do wheel and headstand soon, I need all the help I can get. So I’m now the proud owner of a total of 2 lulu tops, 3 lulu pants and one lulu sports bra (to go under my sub-par EB top… ) Oh, and an amazing little jacket that is the most comforting thing to put on after 90 minutes of hot yoga. My yoga wardrobe is now caught up with Mike’s — we are SPOILED.

Speaking of yoga, I think I’m going to go do a little viparita karani, which is supposed to work wonders for insomnia. Wish me luck.

Saving daylight

We did not let that lost hour of sleep stop us this morning! From sleeping, that is :) The girls almost let us sleep through the morning, but they did need to be tended to at about 7 a.m. (PDT).

Once we finally decided to get dressed around noon, we thought it would be fun to head down to the waterfront to eat at Red Robin. We then wandered over to Pioneer Square (a little bit of a chilly walk for today) because I felt like going to a bookstore. We went into the enormous Elliot Bay Book Company and then a few other fun stores like one of my favorite little giftie shops and a very cool toy store that had everything.

We got home and did some cleaning, recycling, etc. Mike took some new pics of the scooter, which you can see here. Now we’re just relaxing, watching tv and catching up online.

Mostly it was just a nice quiet weekend. We’re very lucky!

A gift for Fiona

Author: admin

This is Fiona, and this is the great baby gift I found for her!!

I found ‘The Baby Bunch’ (on the left) on Amazon. SO CUTE! Those are onesies, bibs, socks, etc. all rolled up and made into a bouquet.

Fiona is a daughter of a good friend and former coworker of mine. Being out of town I couldn’t attend any showers or anything, and her gender was a surprise, so I waited until she was here so I could send an appropriate gift.

Fiona’s mama loved it! And, as a bonus, it looks so pretty in a picture.
