Mom & Dad’s visit

Author: cortny

Mom and Dad are home safe and sound, after a couple of flights across the USA. (So, how was St. Louis?)

We thouroughly enjoyed our visit! Monday we took the afore mentioned day trip to the Pacific Coast. It was fantastic. Check out Mike’s blog to see a video of Matilda meeting the Pacific Ocean. Ruby has now seen the Pacific and the Atlantic! And, better yet, the beach we visited was called Ruby Beach. Perfect.

Yesterday we went on the Theo Chocolate Factory Tour and took a trip to the Experience Music Project downtown (by the Space Needle.) The EMP is like a museum of popular music, and also attached is the Science Fiction Museum. (Not a huge fan of the latter.) BUT the two museums were hosting a Jim Henson exhibit so getting down there had been on my list for quite some time. It was fantastic.

We had such a great time hosting our company, and so did the girls. They were very happy to have such attentive company. And mummy was happy to have someone else to let them out at 5:00 a.m…. ;) Thanks, Nana and Gampy!

Seattle touring

We’re sitting in line waiting to drive on to the Kingston ferry. The dogs keep barking at the German shepard who is sniffing for bombs or drugs.

We are having a great time hosting mom and dad for a few days. So far we’ve visited pike place market and pioneer square, ate at top pot, mike’s chili and la isla.

Today we are driving out to the pacific coast. With the dogs. We are off to a rough start thaks to our German shepard friend, but it should get better!

Hopefully we’ll board the ferry soon and be moving again. I’ll write a longer entry soon.

New stuff

I made an appearance in my “other” blog this week. I’ve added on some responsibilities over at Amy B Sells. Not as behind the scenes anymore. So she asked me to write an entry introducing myself! Here it is.

I am also waiting (and waiting) for my new iPhone to arrive. So exciting! I’ve had my other phone for two years – and it’s been fun. But it’s time for something new. Of course Mike’s arrived at 10:15 today. Mine is apparently on another truck. Yay. You know how much I love UPS…. c’mon, dude, I’ve got places to be tonight.

We’re off to the theatre this evening, and then off to the airport to pick up mom and dad! I’ll post an entry or two about our visit.

We luv Dug

Author: cortny

We saw Up this weekend. It is SO SO good.

There is a character named Dug – a dog. He is SUCH

a dog. We are still laughing and talking about Dug.

Up is an excellent movie in general. We decided to go see it in 3-D (I hate 3-D, by the way) BUT wanted to see a good movie in 3-D to see how it was. It didn’t bother my eyes at all, the effects were really subtle and good.

Here’s Dug. He is a dog and you will love him because he is lovable and cute and smart.

(The pic is a link to a video of Dug.)

Tilly asked that I please post a picture of her in the new blog too. She is also good at laying on the bed, and doesn’t want to be outcuted.
