A typical evening

Author: cortny

Ruby likes food. In the morning she wakes me up at about 7 (or whenever the first alarm goes off) and cries and barks until I get up and feed her. (Then it’s more of the same until she gets her pill/treat, and her bowl of water, and let out…)

Then it’s the same at dinner, the whole spiel.

Then right after that it’s ‘where’s my treat?’ Sometimes for as much as two or three hours a night she begs. And if I so much as get off the couch she’s like ‘okay! I’m ready! I’ll go over here so you can give me my TREAT!’

This is the video that follows that moment. Also known as ‘when I finally give in.’

I love it that Ruby does all the work and is the persistent one and endless and endearing begging, and Matilda then comes in when she knows that Ruby got to you and something is going to happen to get the treat. I think Matilda is the smart one. She probably talked Ruby into doing all that work for her! A dogs life!

Tilly always reaps the benefits of Ruby’s efforts.
