Scheduling Mishaps
Author: cortnyI thought day trips would be such a good idea for our Christmas gifts. And so far the idea hasn’t disappointed. But silly me for thinking January would be easier.
We scheduled our Spa day for January 22 – Mike’s gift to me. We scheduled the first of two beer-brewing days on the 23. We scheduled the dogs for boarding and grooming on the 22-23. Then we scheduled my eye surgery for the 22. So we called and moved the spa day to Feb. 12, and cancelled the beer day because we couldn’t find two days two weeks apart that we were free. Bummer. I called and moved the dogs to Feb. 12 and 13 for boarding and grooming. Against my better judgement — they are a mess.
Then they moved my eye surgery from the 22 to the 29. So we rescheduled the beer brewing back to the 23 and went. We’ll go back in two weeks – Feb. 6 – to bottle the beer after it, well, turns into beer.
Then Mike called and said work is in conflict with the spa day and we had to move it again. So we called the spa and moved it UP to Feb. 5. Then I called the dog lounge and moved the dogs up to Feb. 5 and 6. We’re staying at the spa, then we’ll come home, get the dogs, and go bottle beer…
The spa has been on three different dates. The dogs have been on three different dates. The eye surgery has been on two different dates. The beer brewing has only been on one date, then off, then on again.
Amid this Mike has two yoga workshops, one weekend of yoga training, AND we have TWO olympic events in February. (Poor us:) Such a shame to be so busy!)
It’s been crazy! I just hope I don’t have to call anyone else and reschedule anything!!

So jealous of your spa day! Is Mike going too? Stephen refuses to do anything like that. I keep telling him that he’d like it if he just tried it, but he won’t. :-(
